Destination
Experience the best of Tanzania’s Northern parks with a journey through its most iconic landscapes. Start in the elephant-dotted savannas of Tarangire National Park. Visit Lake Manyara, a lush, wildlife-rich sanctuary, where forest, lake, and savannah meet. Head to the endless plains of the Serengeti. Finish your adventure at the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to dense wildlife and sweeping views unlike anywhere else on earth. Each step of the way promises unforgettable encounters and the true spirit of East Africa.
Game drives through northern Tanzania’s national parks combined with a Zanzibar getaway offer the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Begin your journey and witness the incredible wildlife and landscapes on thrilling game drives before unwinding on the island paradise of Zanzibar. Relax on whitesand beaches, where turquoise waters and rich Swahili culture await. With vibrant markets, historic Stone Town, and incredible snorkeling or diving, this combination delivers the best of both Tanzania’s wild and coastal allure.
Spend two unforgettable days exploring the vast golden plains of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. You may spot leopards resting along riverbanks, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, and the Serengeti’s famous lion prides on the hunt. Elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of antelope species roam freely across the park. With some of the largest and most diverse wildlife populations on the planet, every drive offers something extraordinary.
Enjoy picnic lunches in the bush, surrounded by the raw beauty of the African wilderness.
Optional: Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Serengeti at sunrise, followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
Head to Ngorongoro region. During your guided game drive across the crater floor, search for the Big Five. You may also encounter large lion prides, spotted hyenas, hippos resting in freshwater pools, and flocks of flamingos lining the soda lake. A scenic picnic lunch will be served within this breathtaking natural amphitheater.
The second day allows for a slower, immersive experience in the highlands. Optional activities include a guided forest walk, a cultural visit to a Maasai community, or time at leisure enjoying panoramic views from your lodge.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar and say goodbye to your safari guide.
Arrive on the spice island of Zanzibar and transfer to historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in Swahili, Arab, and Indian influences. You will be met by a local guide and taken to your hotel to relax.
Your guide will take you on a walk through narrow, labyrinthine streets lined with intricately carved wooden doors and coral-stone buildings. You will visit historical landmarks such as the Old Fort and the former Sultan’s Palace. Explore vibrant spice markets and enjoy the rhythm of island life along the waterfront.
As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, savor a refined dinner infused with local spices and fresh seafood.
One of our favorite activities on Zanzibar is a boat trip to Changuu Island. This lovely spot is also known as Prison Island, after a restored fortress-like building that was constructed in the 1890s as a prison, only to be repurposed as a quarantine center instead. Today, the island is best known for a population of giant tortoises that were introduced from the Seychelles and are now protected in a sanctuary where the oldest individual is said to have been around for 120-plus years. A visit to Changuu is normally followed by a swim and a beach barbecue on an exposed sandbar known as Nakupenda Island, but this is dependent on weather and tides.
You will have the opportunity to visit a local spice farm, where you’ll discover the aromas and flavors that have shaped Zanzibar’s history, and explore Jozani Forest, home to the rare red colobus monkeys and lush indigenous vegetation unique to the island.
Transfer to the northern shores of Zanzibar, where the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean meet pristine white sands of the island. Over the next three days, unwind in barefoot luxury at your beachfront resort. This is your time to relax and restore after your safari adventure.
The pace here is gentle and restorative — a seamless blend of indulgence and tranquility.
